Lowes. Mrs. Wm. LOWES, Sr., whose maiden name was Sarah HERCULES, was born June 16, 1854, at Versalls, Dark County, Ohio, and died September 13, 1933 at Carbondale, Kansas, at the age of 70 years, 2 months and 27 days. As a child of ten years she came with her parents to Wakaursa, Kansas. She has lived in and around Carbondale the remainder of her life. In middle life she was baptized in the christian faith and joined the christian church. She was a member of the Woman's Relief Corps No. 17, of Carbondale, Kansas. On July 3, 1875, she was married to Chancy D. TAYLOR, who preceded her in death August 17, 1929. On January 12, 1930 she was married to Wm. Lowes Sr., of Carbondale.
