Little Velma Middleton Dead.

The community was shocked and saddened Monday afternoon by the sudden death of
little Velma MIDDLETON, the three year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.W.
Middleton. While she had not been well for several days she was up and around
and no one thought of her being in such a serious condition. She became suddenly
worse in the afternoon and about 5 o'clock died.
Sincere sympathy is extended to the bereaved mother and other relatives. It is a
very sad death at Mr. Middleton is in the hospital at Topeka and the other
little daughter is in the hospital in Kansas City, and will both be unable to
attend the funeral, which is being held at the Methodist Church this afternoon.
Velma was a sweet lovable little child who will be missed by all.
