Mrs. Ella SMITH has received word from Baldwin, Kansas, that her cousin, Scott MORGAN, died January 16, at his home there. Scott Morgan will be remembered here as the son of Calvin Morgan. He was born on a farm seven miles northeast of Burlingame about fifty years ago. He grew to manhood in this community and received his education here. Some eighteen or twenty years ago he went to Baldwin and engaged in the mercantile and book store business, and there he married. On account of his failing health he was obliged to give up the store and he spent several months in New Mexico, all to no avail. As he grew worse his wife went down for him and brought him home. He lived only a short time after his return. He is survived by his wife and five children, and one brother, Marshall Morgan of Birmingham, Michigan, who came down for the funeral. Funeral services were held in Baldwin, Monday, January 18, and burial was in the Baldwin cemetery.
