Numbers. Mary Belle, daughter of Alexander and Ruth A. HENDERSON was born near Iberia, Morrow County, Ohio, June 3, 1858, and died at her home in Melvern February 10, 1920. On April 3, 1879 she was united in marriage to Arthur A. NUMBERS. To this union were born nine children, Eva M., Arthur R., William H., Harry B., Josephine R., Hazel A., all of whom are living at home except Josephine R., who lives in Melvern and the three oldest boys who live in Kansas City, Kansas. After her marriage, Mrs. Numbers moved to Paola, Kansas in 1882. In 1893 the family came to Melvern where they have since resided. In early childhood Mrs. Numbers united in the Christian church, to which faith she has always remained faithful and true. She was devoted to her family, a hard-working woman, a devoted wife and mother. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband and the children already mentioned, four grandchildren, Josephine and Donald Elmore of Melvern, Retta B. Numbers daughter of Harry B., and Wayne H. Numbers, son of William H., of Kansas City. Her industrious and useful life has left its impression for good upon us all. if earth has lost her we feel that Heaven has gained.
