Funeral Service for F.A. Richmond.
Funeral services for F. A. RICHMOND were held at the home at 2:30 o'clock
Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev. O.D. SEITZ, and burial was in the Burlingame
cemetery.
Franklin Azim RICHMOND was born September 25th, 1852, at Leory, New York and
died in Burlingame, Kansas, February 8th, 1932. he was 79 years, 4 months and 13
days old. He we came to the state of Kansas about 1882. Since that time he has
lived at Auburn, Harveyville, Eskridge, Topeka and Burlingame. The last 20 years
of his life he spent here. 
In the seventies he married Mollie BAKER who later passed away. During 1900 he
married Hattie COLBY, who has since passed to her reward. He leaves here one
sister, Mrs. Emma BERRY of Burlingame; one step-son, Edward Baker of Topeka; two
grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A niece, Prudence SCHMIDT and
nephews, Charles Richmond and Billie BOND also survive him.
The first few years of hsi life Mr. Richmond spent on a farm. Later he learned
the carpenter trade which he followed until advancing years made necessary his
retirement.
About forty years ago Mr. Richmond made his decision to follow Christ. He united
with a church at Harveyville where he was living at that time. Upon moving to
Burlingame he united with the Baptist church. He attended faithfully while he
was able. Neighbors and friends who have known him for years bear witness that
he was kind, and willing to help those in need without thought of receiving pay
for his good deeds.
