The death of James W. ROACH on Wednesday, October 26th, marks the passing of
another of the old resident of this community, having been a resident of
Burlingame for forty-three years. Mr. Roach had steadily declined in health for
the past year.
James W. Roach was born in Farquire county, Virginia, February 4th 1849 and died
at the age of 78 years, 8 months and 22 days. He was the second of a family of
eight children.
He was united in marriage to Francis A. HASKINS at Dodridge county, West
Virginia, April 17th, 1872. Mr. and Mrs. Roach celebrated their fiftieth wedding
anniversary April 22nd, 1922. To them were born five children. One died in
infancy, January 19, 1889, and Delbert, Carl, February 25th, 1924.--Enterprise.
