Funeral services for Mrs. Mary RUSSELL were held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon at the Methodist Church at Scranton with Rev. E.C. FOSTER conducting the service. Three hymns, "The Old Rugged Cross," "Jesus Leads," and "We Are Going Down the Valley" were sung by Mr. Harry HARKNESS and Mrs. Fred CONES of Burlingame. Burial was made in the family lot in Scranton Cemetery. Mary BOSSMAN, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Bossman, was born in Sidney, Ohio, Aug. 14, 1859, and after an illness of two years departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.C. ELLIOTT on July 20, 1934, at the aged of 75 years, 11 months and 7 days. She spent the early part of her life in Sidney, Ohio, where she was married to Alexander RUSSELL in 1880. Coming to Kansas they settled at Carbondale and moving to Scranton where they lived until 1902, then moving on to Fostoria where they made their home.. In 1914 she was united with the Penticostal church and always enjoyed listening to the old church hymns. Her husband preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 1902, and one son, Charles on February 22, 1907. Mrs. Russell leaves to mourn her loss one son, Andrew Russell; one daughter Mrs. J.C. Elliott; six grandchildren, Wm. Russell, Mrs. H. MUNDY of Ottawa, Kan.; Mrs. Alex GRIEVES, Jr., Mrs. Dave MORRISON, Jr., Miss Ora Lee Russell, and Clarence Elliott of Fostoria. Nine great-grandchildren. One sister, Fauna and one brother Levi, of Sidney, Ohio. Card of Thanks. We wish to than our many friends for their kindness during the illness and death of our mother and grandmother. Also for the beautiful floral offerings. Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Elliott and family.
