Mrs. Mary KLINE was called to Herington Tuesday of last week by the death of her
sister-in-law, Mrs. C.M. SMALLEY. Although Mrs. Smalley had not been well for
the past two years death was the result of a major operation. Mr. and Mrs. F.D.
Smalley, of Kansas City came Tuesday evening and took Mrs. Kline over with them.
They received a double shock when they arrived in Herington to find that their
niece, Miss Bernice Smalley, of the home, going out on the porch for the mail a
little over a week before, had fallen and broken both legs and was in the same
hospital where her mother passed away.--Burlingame Enterprise.
