Graveside services for William Ray STEWART, 45, were held in the Burlingame cemetery Saturday afternoon, October 26. The deceased was buried with military honors, a large number from the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post of Topeka being present at the service. Mr. Stewart, a native Kansan, died in a Topeka hospital on Thursday, October 24. He was a son of B.W. Stewart of Burlingame, but had resided in Topeka since 1920. For the past 18 years he was employed in the machine shops of the Santa Fe there. During the World War he served in Company F, 28th infantry, Third Division. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Gladys Stewart; thre children, Jean, Velma, and Paul Stewart, and a stepson, Walter IMLAY, all of the home; his mother, Mrs. Sarah C. Stewart of Topeka; five sisters, R.M. MICHAEL, Mrs. Dewey HEAD and Mrs. L.E. SELF, of Topeka, and Mrs. Dora ROGERS, of San Francisco, Mrs. Walter SHEPARD, Lyndon.
