Tindell. Funeral services for Oscar J. TINDELL were held at the Methodist church at two o'clock Sunday afternoon, January 24, 1932, conducted by Rev. C.E. Foster of Topeka assisted by Rev. J.W. TWEED. Rev. and Mrs. TOWSLEY of Topeka sang, "The Last Mile of the Way," "The Eastern Gate," and "Looking This Way" during the service, and "Good Night and Good Morning" at the grave side. Burial was in the Burlingame cemetery under the direction of C.L. Carey. Oscar J. Tindell, the youngest son of Nathan and Huldah Tindell, was born October 31, 1880, at Jamestown, Missouri, and died at his home in Burlingame, Friday, January 22, 1932, aged 51 years, 2 months and 22 days. His early life was spent in Missouri. In 1902 he came to Burlingame and most of the time while living here he followed the occupation of mining. When his health failed he became assistant manager of the Cities Service Oil Station. During the past three or four years he had been a great sufferer. On September 21, 1904 he was married to Katherine McMURDO of Burlingame. During a revival conducted by Rev. James SIMS he was converted and remained a faithful member of the Pentecostal faith. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, six children, Ilda of Topeka, Mrs. Ralph THOMPSON of Burlingame, Mrs. Frank MICHAELS of Scranton, Grace, Della and Douglas of the home address. In addition to these there remain two children by a former marriage, F.D. Tindell of Burlingame, and Mrs. James McLELLEN of Chillicothe, Missouri. He is also survived by his aged mother, Mrs. Huldah Tindell of Burlingame; three brothers, John W. of Scranton, A.D. and C.M. Tindell of Burlingame; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy SIMMONS of Edgewater, Colorado, and Mrs. Ethel CRAVEN of Burlingame; and seven grandchildren. The pallbearers were Earl and Orville MILLER, David and Douglas McMURDO, Henry CROUCHER and Ralph SCOFIELD.
