Lyndon.--Eugene BUTTERFIELD, 82, died Tueday in his home here. He was born March 23, 1886, in Osage County where he spent most of his life. He was a member of the Brethren Church. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jesse Badsky Butterfield, at home; five daughters, Mrs. Rub CRUM, Harrisonville, Mo.; Mrs. Leona WARREN, Lyndon, Mrs. Betty HERMAN, Olathe, and Mrs. Martha STIVISON and Mrs. Joan SPADES, both of Vancouver, Wash.; three sons, Eugene Butterfield and Donald Butterfield, both of Vancouver, Wash., and Charles Butterfield, Tigard, Ore.; four sisters, Mrs. Alice B. HALL, Reno, Nev.; and Mrs. Clara NICHOLS, 1149 High, Mrs. Ethel BREWER, 1611 Western, and Mrs. Lena McHENRY, 631 W. 17th, all in Topeka; three brothers, Charlie Butterfield, Overbrook, and Roy Butterfield and Nard Butterfield, both of Route 5, Topeka; 24 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Shaffer-Feltner Mortuary, Lyndon.
