             Wedding Bells
   Monday afternoon Rev. Father Cavanaugh
pronounced the solemn ceremony that united
for life "for better and for worse" Evan
Griffiths and Miss Maggie Mullen, both of
Scranton. The wedding took place at the
residence of the brides parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Thos. Connors. A large number of the
friends of the young couple gathered to
witness the ceremony and congratulate the
newly wedded pair. After the wedding the
guests sat down to a feast such as is 
seldom seen in Scranton. Other refreshments
were served, and taking it all in all it 
was one of the most enjoyable weddings we
have ever chronicled.
   The groom is one of the best known, and
by the way one of the best young men in
Scranton. He is the eldest son of David
R. Griffiths,and it can almost be said 
that he was raised up in our town. His
bride is likewise well known here and
is a young lasy for whom all who know
here have only words of praise. She is
well worthy of her husband and will make
a life helpmate that wiil ever be a joy
to him.
   In the evening a large number of the
friends of the young couple gathereed in
K. P. hall and until an early hour the
merry throng tripped the light fantastic
toe in honor to the newly wedded pair.
The GAZETTE, along with a host of other
friends, wish them a long and prosperous
life of wedded bliss.
