The marriage of Miss Jennie Louise POTTS, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Louise M. Potts, 1503 South Garrison Avenue and Mr. Harry Roderick McPHAIL of Keokuk, Iowa, took place at 8:30 o'clock Thursday morning at the home of the bride's parents. The ceremony was read by the bride's father, Dr. Potts, assisted by Dr. Fred M. Bailey, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church. Miss Kathryn Potts acted as maid of honor and Mr. Paul BATCHELER of Kansas City as best man. Miss Helen JONES played Mendelsonn's wedding march. The ceremony took place before a bank of Queen ANn's lace and red and white gladioli with tall white tapers in candelabra in the background. There were 30 guests. Immediately following the ceremony a wedding breakfast for the bridal party and a few guests was served at the Drake Hotel. The table was centered with pink roses and snapdragons surrounded by white tapers. The bride wore a beige crepe ensemble, fox trimmed, with small hat, elbow length gloves and shoes t! o match. She carried an arm bouquet of pink tea roses. Miss Kathryn Potts wore a blue triple sheer ensemble with fox trim, a gray hat, gloves and shoes. She carried an arm bouquet of American beauty roses and delphinium. Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Edward Potts of Tarkio, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. John F. CLOSSEN and Mr. and Mrs. Roy CLOSSEN of Coffeyville, Kansas. Mr. and Mrs. McPhail left following breakfast for a wedding trip and will be at home after July 20 at Keokuk. Both are graduates of Baker University, Baldwin, Kansas. He also attended Emporia State Teachers College, Emporia, Kansas. Mrs. McPhail is a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority at Baker and Mr. McPhail is a member of Zeta Chi fraternity. He was reelected this spring to the position of supervisor of two grade schools in Keokuk. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry D.
