Fisher passed away at her home in this city, after a protracted illness of great suffering. On October 1, last, whe was taken ill and confined to her bed till the time of her death. She was unconscious for a week previous to her death, which was expected hourly. Mrs. Fisher was born May 7, 1853, in Illinois, her maiden name being Louisa Short. January 20, 1885, at Paris, Ill, she was married to Mr. K.N. Fisher, whom she leaves to mourn her loss. In 1887 they moved to Indiana, where they lived till 1893, when they moved to Phillips county, the last four years being spent in this city. Mrs. Fisher was a kind and estimable lady and was loved by all who knew her. The funeral services, which were in charge of the Odd Fellow lodge, were held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church, and was largely attended by sympathizing friends. Very impressive ceremonies were held at Fairview cemetery where her remains were peacefully laid to rest. Additional Comments: Posted for genelogical researchers.
