Copying of the files within by non-commercial individuals and libraries is encouraged. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Phillipsburg News, (Phillips County, Kansas), July 25, 1928 Obituary Mary Jane Johnson was born in Graham County, Wisconsin, December 24th, 1841 and died July 18, 1928 at Phillipsburg, Kansas at the home of Mrs. A. M. Rinehart. She was married to Milt Collogan in 1861. To this union eight children were born, six of whom preceded her in infancy. Mr. Collogan died in the year of 1880. Mrs Collogan with her two daughters came to Kansas in 1883 and has made her home in Phillipsburg ever since. In 1883 she was married to Alexander McPherson of this city. He preceded Mrs. McPherson in death in 1900. Her daughter Mamie Roberts died in 1903. She leaves to mourn her loss, one daughter, Mrs. John Roberts of Guffy, Colo.- a sister Mrs Otto of Canada, a brother John T Johnson of Rockford, Iowa - five grandchildren, nine Great Grandchildren and other relatives and a host of friends. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Snapp at the home of Mrs. Rinehart and burial was made in the city cemetery. My notes: Mary Jane Johnson was born in Grant Co, Wis and was married to Michael Collogan, not Milt.
