Stetter TimeTraveler303@aol.com September 10, 2007, 7:07 pm wire from Atchison printed in Oakley GRAPHIC, Oakley, Kansas; April 18, 1890 By wire from Atchison: Sister Annstasm RUDROFF, aged twenty, and Sister Osethur HENDER, aged twenty-one, died at St. Scholastica's convent, both of consumption. They were of the St. Benedictine order. Sister Annstasm took her vows an hour before she died. Her home was in Osage county, Mo. Sister Osethur had been in the convent many years and was a famous missionary. She went about the state establishing parochial schools under the direction of the parent academy. Her parents live at Wamego, Kan. Seven sisters, all young women, have died in the convent of consumption within the past year. Physcians cannot account for this loss of life.
