To meet the demands of the school, a modern church was planned and on Mar., 16th, 1910, the excavation began, the result is a neat, attractive and commodius church, the basement is 56x68 feet and is divided into six rooms, three class rooms, a dining room, kitchen and furnace room. The auditorium is 33x55 feet with inclined floor, and will seat 275 people. There is a class room on either side, 18x33 feet, Photo of Rev. S. Barber, Pastor separated by folding doors, which gives a seating capacity of 500. The seats and pulpit furniture are of golden oak the building is finished in golden oak and is a very neat, attractive finish. The total cost of the building is about $7,900 and it stands as a monument of the highest ideal of moral and religious life of the people of Munden. Photo of The Old M. E. Church The old M. E. church, which was in use a quarter of a century and which occupied the site where the new church now stands. The cornerstone of this building was laid July 15th, 1884.
