Howley of Washington county was in Belleville Monday enroute west. ---------- C. A. Campbell and sister Mrs. Edith McKenzie of Wayne were in the city Friday. ---------- Mr. and Mrs. Boyes and daughter of Hebron spent Sunday at the home of Mrs. M. E. Wagener. ---------- Miss Mildred Strand of Munden visited her sister Miss Alice between trains Friday enroute to Burr Oak. ---------- The Baseball team went to Munden Tuesday to play ball but the ground was so wet the game was called off. ---------- Mrs. A. McLaughlin and daughter Florene leave to-day for a visit with Mr. McLaughlin's parents in Missouri ---------- Mrs. and Mrs. F. W. Kurtz and daughter Miss Ora of Spokane, Washington were guests the first of the week of Mrs. Kurtz's sister, Mrs. R. W. Krieg. They expect to leave tomorrow for Beatrice. ---------- Prof. A. B. Carney of Concordia was in the city the first of the week. Mr. Carney es one of the foremost educators of the state and is building up a splendid business college at Concordia. ---------- Claud Brown, the little son of Mr. and Mrrs. Frank Brown is recovering from injuries susstained by a twenty foot fall last week.
