It is intention to have a cut made and published in the Telescope. Work on the St. George church three miles south of town is progressing very rapidly. There were four men from Belleville and three or four men from Munden working th elatter part of last week. The main building is to be thirty by fifty feet with a ten foot square tower. In order that the seating capacity may be ample to meet all needs a large gallery is to be placed in the church. When completed this will be a fine building and one of which the people may well be proud. H. C. Sticher of the Telescopt had business in town Friday. Mrs. E. Stone was sick the latter part of last week, but is much better now. J. A. Saip returned from Belleville Thursday where he had been to see his daughter who had been sick with typhoid fever. McKenzie last Wednesday and left a fine baby girl. They say that Bob was heard shouting "Papa" down a rain barrell in order to get used to it. Wm Mulch shipped a car of apples to Waverly, Illinois. The car left Thursday. Miss Grace Goodsheller of McPherson was visiting with the Strands in town the latter part of ast week. She left Sunday for Lincoln, Nebr. The first step on the new school building was taken last week, when Chas Stepanek began hauling sand. Charlie has taken the contract to deliver about 150 loads. Work on the new house being built for Mrs. Blanche Stafford is progressing very rapidly and it will be ready for the plasterers within a few days. Wm Roshby is plastering the new house of B. E. Edwards west of town. When this building is completed it will be one of the finest and most modern in this part of the country. One of the things that Munden meeds the worst is a good and adequate hotel building. A great many people and especially traveling men pass by Munden because of being unable to be accomodated over night. Over at Republic City under similar circumstances the business men formed a stock company and are building a modern hotel. It appears that something of this kind would be the solution of the problem here and the business men should get interested and see if something could be done to get this much needed improvement to the town.
