H. Dittemore James Henry Dittemore, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas(sic) Dittemore, was born at Troy, Kan., on September 18, 1874, and departed this life, November 20, 1956, at Belleville, Kan., at the age of 82 years, two months, and 2 days. He spent his early years on the farm with his parents and attended the public school in Troy. Upon completion of his public school education he entered Rush Medical School in Chicago and graduated with honors in 1898. Dr. Dittemore began his practice of medicine in Axtell, Kan., but soon moved to Cuba, Kan., establishing his practice there in 1905. Later he moved to Belleville, where he practiced medicine for several years, and where he spent his last years in retirement. He was married in February , 1901 to Margaret Kent , who survives him. To this union were born six children all of whom survive: Robert of North Little Rock, Ark., Ralps(sic) of St. Joseph, Mo., Louis of Bartlesville, Okla., Paul of Glennbrokk, Conn., Mary of Kansas City, Mo., and Helen of Midwest City, Okla. There are eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Dr. Dittemore served long and well in his practice of medicine and his unselfish devotion to his profession has won him many admirers.
