Co. H, 2nd(later 4th) IL Vols. Certificate # 9.100. Enlisted July 10, 1847 and discharged July 28,1848. Married Maranda ELLEDGE Aug. 31, 1852 in Calhoun Co., IL. Applied for Pension Apr. 8, 1880 in Calhoun Co., IL. Affidavit says he had not applied before because "managed to make a living with his wife and children's help, now I am old and need it, and did not realize was entitled to it. I was wounded in the head and right eye from the stroke of a sword received while in action at Puebla, Mexico in May 1848." George WALDON was born 1829 in TN and died 1894 in Lucas, Russell Co., KS.
