D. Crawford, Deceased Claims $3,000 Belongs to Her Exceptions to the appraisement of the estate of W. D. Crawford, who died the latter part of April, have been filed before Probate Judge McCanless by Mrs. E. A. Crawford, widow of the deceased. In her exceptions, Mrs. Crawford states that the appraisers of the estate included in the appraisement a #2,000 ban certificate of deposit which belongs to Mrs. Crawford. In his will Mr. Crawford appointed C. Q. Chandler as executor of the estate. Mr. Chandler appointed R. T. Bean, John Bumstark and I. E. Martin as appraisers. They appraised the estate at $46,000, both real and personal property. The hearing for the exceptions filed will be heard next week before Judge McCanless. Mr. Crawford in his will left his estate as follows Half of it, plus $1,250 to his widow; $500 to a brother and the remainder equally between two grandchildren in Washington. When Mr. Crawford came to Kansas he was quite poor, but by thrift and saving he accumulated the fortune which he left to his heirs.
