Obituary of SMITH, Samuel H. Sedgwick county, KS 1919 As appeared in the Wichita Eagle, February 2, 1919, Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas SMITH-Samuel H. Smith, age 74 years, died at his home, 401 South Meridian avenue, Saturday morning after a lingering illness with heart trouble and complications. Mr. Smith came to Kansas 27 years ago, but for the past 16 years has made his home in Wichita. For several years he was employed by the Volco Manufacturing company. He is survived by his wife, Maude Smith: five daughters, Mrs. William Snyder of Mulvane; Mrs. Charles Bidwell, Mrs. H. E. Coughenoue, Mrs. Pauline Brewer, and Frances Smith, all residing in Wichita; and two sons, John, of Wichita, and Frank, who resides in Colorado. No funeral arrangements will be made until relatives arrive from distant states.
