Olivet Cemetery KC Mo Jackson co Retired neurologist, age 71, of Greenville, Mississippi, formerly of Wichita, Kansas will be Monday, July 25, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Greenville, Mississippi. Father Richard Somers will officiate. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2005 in Kansas City, Missouri at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Father Michael Rice will officiate. Dr. Tilton died Friday, July 22, at 5:00 a.m. at Baptist Memorial Hospital East, Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Tilton was born in Kansas City, Missouri and was raised in Lexington, Kentucky. He received a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Kentucky in Lexington and received his M.D. from the University of Louisville. He completed his Internship at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, Kansas. He served as Captain in the United States Army Medical Corps. He completed two Fellowships one in Internal Medicine and one in Neurology at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Tilton practiced Neurology for nineteen years at the Wichita Clinic and for thirteen years at the Greenville Neurology Clinic. He was proud of his family, friends, home and all of their achievements. He had a great mind, and a wonderful sense of humor. He was a gentle giant and loved telling an interesting story. His Kentucky heritage was reflected in his love of horses and The Kentucky Derby. Dr. Tilton was highly interested in education due to his maternal grandfather, Frank LeRond McVey, who was the fourth President of the University of North Dakota and the third President of the University of Kentucky.
