      DAVE GRIFFITH IS MARRIED TODAY
Weds Miss Marie Mehle of 2017 Park Place
They Will Leave for Oakland February 25, 
     Where Catcher Is To Report
   Dave Griffith, catcher for the Wichita Wolves
last season, and Miss Mary[sic] Mehle, of
2017 Park Place, were married this afternoon
at the home of the bride's parents. Only
relatives were present. Mr. and Mrs. Griffith
left this afternoon for Kansas City on a shor
wedding trip.
   Wichita fans will wish the young catcher
joy as a benedict. Griffith was sold to the 
Oakland team in the Pacific Coast League, a
Class AA organization, after the close of
ast season. There is no doubt about his 
ability as a catcher and with an added 
inducement of a wife to watch his efforts,
he should win a regular position with the
Oakland team.
   Mrs. Griffith formerly was in the employ
of the Cudahy Packing Company. The couple
will depart for Oakland February 25.

               Griffith Marries
   Dave Griffith, first strong catcher of the
Wolves in 1915, was married Monday to Miss
Marie Mehle of 2017 North Main street.
Griffith will play with the Oakland club in
the Pacific Coast league this year. Miss
Mehle has been employed as bookkeeper at
the Cudahy Packing company.
