The fifty-sixth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. J.U. SMITH and his seventy-ninth birthday anniversary of Mr. Smith, were celebrated at a four generation family dinner at the home of their son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Q. Smith at Elkhart, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Smith have spent some thirty of their married years in Liberal and have been valued citizens here. The eldest member of the family party Sunday was Mr. Smith and the youngest was Mr. and Mrs. Smith's great grandson Jimmie Judd RYMAN of Elkhart. Plates at the dinner were laid for Mr. and Mrs. Roy O. Smith and Carol Jean and Mr. and Mrs. J. U. Smith of Liberal; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard RYMAN and Jimmie Judd, Mr. and Mrs. Alvera STIGGINS, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Q. Smith, Bob, Douglas, Eileen and Adeline Smith, all of Elkhart.
