Mr. Black had taken a room at the Carson house while his family were away for the summer but had just purchased a home and was arranging to move to it. The end came suddenly and was a distinct shock to the family as well as the many friends in and near Liberal. Mr. Black was 42 years old and is survived by his wife, two sons, John and Charles and two daughters, Ruth and Elaine. Allen was a likable fellow once an acquaintance had been formed, and there is keen regret at his sudden passing. The funeral arrangements have not yet been made, and it was impossible to secure data for an obituary today.
