Brown Is Taken To Rest. Father of Carl Brown, Liberal, Homesteaded in Beaver County, in 1907. G.W. BROWN, who homesteaded 17 miles southeast of Liberal in Beaver county, Okla., in 1907 passed away at the age of 89 years, at Guthrie, Oklahoma, on January 13. Mr. Brown was the father of Carl Brown of Liberal. Funeral services were held at Guthrie and interment made near there, beside his wife, who passed away in 1931. Mr. Brown leaves two sons, Carl Brown of Liberal and Claude Brown of Compton, California and two daughters, Mr. O.D. METHENEY of Guthrie, Oklahoma and Mrs. John PIEVER, of Houston, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Brown returned from Guthrie only about ten days before his father's death, and did not return for the funeral.
