She was born June 6, 1931, to James D. and Vergie Foster Caldwell in Dombey, Okla. She graduated from Turpin (Okla.) High School and attended business college in Oklahoma City. She worked as a certified nursing assistant for many years in Perryton, Texas, and Elkhart. She also worked at the Epworth Hospital in Liberal, the Liberal Good Samaritan Center and at the Port of Entry Kansas Highway Patrol Truck Division. She later cared for the elderly in their homes. She was a member of Turpin (Okla.) United Methodist Church. Survivors include one son, David Caldwell and wife Bobbie, Turpin, Okla.; two brothers, J.W. Caldwell, Turpin, Okla., and James Caldwell and wife Gay, Perryton, Texas; and three sisters, Donita Sparks and husband Lester, Stillwater, Okla., Veta Colvin and husband Bill, Stillwater, Okla., and Joan Potter and husband Don, Walters, Okla. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. * Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Turpin (Okla.) United Methodist Church with the Rev. Harold Wheeler and the Rev. Stan Lehnert presiding. Burial will be in Liberal Cemetery.
