He was born Aug. 16, 1921, to Joe and Carrie (Price) Davis in Farmington, Ark. He married Mary Sue Pittman Aug. 13, 1942, in Fayetteville, Ark. She survives. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked in the local grain and livestock businesses, including a farrow to finish hog operation. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Liberal. He was also a member of Southwest Swine Association and Trail Riders, both of Liberal, and a past member of the Masonic Lodge of Arkansas. Other survivors include two sons, Terry Davis and wife Deenie, Hilton Head, S.C., and Chuck Davis and wife Clementina, Amarillo, Texas; four grandchildren, Ray Davis, Heather Coryer, Tad Davis and Jamie Davis; two great-grandchildren, Michael Coryer and Jack Davis and two sisters, Thelma Lee Templeton, Fayetteville, Ark., and Mildred Davis, Farmington, Ark. She was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Richard and Raymond Davis. * Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Hathaway and the Rev. Rocky Ratts presiding. Burial will be in Liberal Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 7 p.m. today at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home in Liberal.
