Texas Co., Resident Died at Home of Son, R.W. Decker, Thurs. Emery DECKER, age 89, of near Hooker, Okla., passed away Thursday evening at the home of his son R.W. Decker, at 416 North Pershing avenue, where he had been staying while receiving medical treatment. Funeral services will be conducted at Miller Chapel, corner Lincoln avenue and Ninth street, at 2:30 Sunday afternoon and interment will be made in the Liberal cemetery. Mr. Decker made the run to the Cherokee strip in 1893, taking a claim in Wood county, near Alva, Okla. In 1907 he came to Texas county, Okla., buying land west of Hooker. He and his wife resided there unitl a couple of years ago when his health failed and since that time they have been with their two sons. Mr. Decker leaves his wife and two sons, R.W. Decker of Liberal and C.H. Decker of Hooker, Okla.
