On last Monday morning a man named Samuel T. ESSLER who had slept in the billiard hall on Washington avenue the night previous was found in an unconscious condition. Efforts made to arouse him failed and about ten o'clock he died. A bottle that had contained morphine was found in his pocket, and his death is supposed to have resulted from an overdose of the drug. The deceased was a single man about thirty-five years of age, and has people living in Michigan.
