Mrs. Belle Hanlin Is Being Laid to Rest At Portland, Ind. Mrs. Belle HANLIN, age 78, passed away shortly after midnight Saturday night at the home of her niece, Mrs. P.F. Hanlin on West Second street. Mrs. Hanlin had been in failing health for the past several years and her condition had been critical for over a week. Funeral services are being conducted at the Methodist church at 4 o'clock this(Monday) afternoon by Rev. Roxie T. Powell, with the Miller Mortuary in charge. The remains will be taken to Portland, Ind. for interment beside her husband, Joseph N. Hanlin, who passed away here in 1908. The funeral party will leave for Indiana Tuesday morning and interment will be made in the Green park cemtery at Portland on Thursday afternoon. Accompanying the remains will be Robert Hanlin of Overton, Tex., who is a foster son, his wife and their son, Joe, and Mrs. P.F. Hanlin and her daughter, Mrs. Raymond Brewington of this city. A nephew, R.A. Gentzler of Tribune, is here for the funeral. In addition to the foster son Robert Hanlin, and her niece, Mrs. P.F. Hanlin of this city, Mrs. Hanlin leaves two other foster sons, Allison McNeil of Marion, Ind., and Fred Lyman of Pasadena, Calif., in addition to other relatives.
