He was born Oct. 21, 1927, to E.P. and Rita (Archibeque) Jiminez. He married Victoria Quintana Feb. 18, 1950, in Tucumcari, N.M. He was a mechanic for Beech Aircraft. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Survivors include one son, Joe Jiminez and wife Sharon, Denver; three daughters, Kathy Taylor and companion Joe James, North Platt, Neb., and Chris Carlile and husband Jack, Liberal; 12 grandchildren, Katrina Morgan, Phillip Pierce, Pam McDaniel, Joseph Jiminez, Andre Jiminez, Yvette Alvarez, Joshua Quattrone, Caleb Quattrone, Misty Daugherty, Victoria Carlile, Amber Tatum and Patrick Jiminez; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Joe Jiminez, Pueblo, Colo., and four sisters, Beulah Salas, Denver, Rita Montel, Pueblo, Colo., Anna Benson, McKenny, Texas, and Ida Kent, Tucumcari, N.M. He was preceded in death by one son, John Patrick Jiminez; one grandson, Edwin Claude Pierce; two brothers, Ernie Jiminez II and Henry Jiminez, and two sisters, Mary Ann Jiminez and Jenny Sandoval. Vigil services will be at 6 p.m. today at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick Keyes presiding. Burial will be in Liberal Cemetery with military honors by Fort Riley honor guard. Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. today at Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home and 6 to 9 p.m. today at St. Anthony Catholic Church.
