Birth: 7-13-1921 Death: 10-3-2005 b. Dewey co KS, d. Hugoton KS Stevens co, S/O William C. and America A. Phipps Johnson. He graduated from Canton High School, Canton, Okla., in 1939, and attended Northwest University, Alva, Okla., for two years. In 1948, he graduated from Kansas University School of Pharmacy. He worked in pharmacy business in Medicine Lodge, Beaver, Okla., and Liberal for 48 years. He moved to Liberal in 1956 and opened El Kan Drug in 1957, and opened Johnson Pharmacy two years later, which he operated until 1978. He belonged to First Christian Church, Liberal, was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge, Beaver, Okla., Guthrie Consistory, India Shrine, American Legion and the Liberal Noon Lions Club.
