Mrs. Julia Meredith, Meade, to be Laid to Rest Here on Thursday, 4:30. Mrs. Julia Etta MEREDITH, age 80, a former Liberal resident, who has been living 16 miles outh of Meade, passed away Sunday night at a hospital in Dodge City, following a week's illness. Mrs. Meredith fell on a hoe and injured her arm a week ago. Tetanus developed and she was taken to the hospital Saturday night. Funeral services will be conducted at the Nazarene church in Meade Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock and interment will be made beside her husband in the Liberal cemetery at 4:30 Thursday afternoon. The Miller Mortuary is in charge. Mrs. Meredith came to this section of the Southwest in 1909, from Illinois, she and her husband, James Meredith, farming in the Liberal and the Turpin and Hooker, Oklahoma communities until 1924 when they moved to Meade county. Mr. Meredith passed away in 1925. Mrs. Merideth is survived by four children: Wilber Meredith of south of Meade; Guy Meredith of Little Rock, Arkansas; Mrs. H. L. EELLEGE of Meade and Mrs. W.E. NORTHRUP of Pratt. (Note: Typed as printed in newspaper.)
