Funeral Services at Christian Church Here Saturday, 2 P.M. Douglas MIRES, age 16, student at Eureka high school, passed away in a local hospital Thursday morning. He underwent an appendix operation some time ago and has two blood transfusions. Funeral services will be conducted at the Christian church in Liberal Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock by L.C. Chaffin of the Church of Christ of Liberal, and R.B. McDouagle of Oklahoma City. Interment will be made in the Liberal cemetery, in charge of the Miller Mortuary. Young Mires was a member of the junior class of the Euerka high school at Bakersburg, Okla., and of the Eureka school band. His parents live between Adams and Bakersburg, his father operating a store at Adams. Surviving in addition to his parents, are three brothers, Ralph, Fred and Gilbert Mires, all at home.
