Funeral services will be conducted at the Miller Mortuary chapel, corner Lincoln avenue and Ninth street, at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon and interment will be made beside his wife in the Liberal cemetery. Mr. Ponting came to a homestead nine miles east and a mile and a half south of Liberal in 1908 from Stillwater, Okla. His wife passed away in 1925. He leaves two sons, Jesse Ponting of Liberal and William Ponting, who lives in California.
