Prominent Hugoton Druggist Succumbed to Heart Attack at Amarillo. Tom PORTER, 53, of the Porter Drug Store of Hugoton, died in a hospital in Amarillo, Texas Friday night. Cause of death is reported to be heart trouble. Mr. and Mrs. Porter drove to Amarillo on a business and pleasure trip Friday. He had not been ill. It is reported that he suddenly became ill after reaching Amarillo and was rushed to the hospital. He is survived by his wife, son Jake, and a brother, Brady Porter of Hugoton. Porter was well-known in western Kansas. He was chairman of the Democratic central committee of Stevens county, and during his residence in Stevens county, since 1908, he has been in the drug store and the automobile business. Arrangements for the funeral have not been made. The body was brought to Hugoton Saturday.
