Rogers Dies Monday. Well Repairer Resident of Seward County Since 1910. James C. ROGERS, age 73 passed away early Monday morning, February 10, at his home on North Washington avenue, following a stroke which he suffered Saturday. He had been in failing health for several years. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made, awaiting word from relatives. Announcement will be made from the Miller Mortuary. Mr. Rogers came to Seward county in 1910, homesteading southeast of Arkalon and residing there for years. Four years ago he moved to Liberal. He had been doing well repairing in this vicinity for the past 25 years. Mr. Rogers was a member of the Adventist church. Mr. and Mrs. Rogers celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Feb. 5. Mr. Rogers leaves in addition to his wife, one daughter, and three sons; Mrs. E.E. MANNEY, Fort Worth, Tex.; Merrel Rogers, who is in the U.S. Army and is stationed at Fort Knox, Ky.; Harold Rogers and Enil Rogers, both of Amarillo, Tex.
