Flora Melvina ELLIS was born in Parkersburg, Iowa, March 6, 1877. She departed from this life at Liberal, Kansas, November 29, 1929. When a child she moved with her parents to Meade county where she grew to womanhood. She was married to Chas. W. SHORE of Arkalon, Kansas, July 26, 1899. To this happy union two children were born, the oldest having died in infancy and Fred Shore who is now engaged in business at Big Bow, Kansas. For several years Mrs. Shore has made her home in Plains, Kansas, during which time she has been active in the work of the Eastern Star. She leaves to mourn her departure, Chas. W. Shore, her husband, and son, Fred Shore, and wife and granddaughters; three sisters, Mrs. Lattie DOWNEY, Wheaton, Minnesota, Nellie A. HAMILL of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, S. Damia AKER of Liberal, Kansas; four brothers, Jay H. ELLIS, Meade, Kansas, N.M. Ellis, Dodge City, Kansas, Wm. C. Ellis, Hutchison, Kansas, Eber E. Ellis, Meade, Kansas, and other relatives and many friends.
