Dies Shortly After Husband.
Mrs. J.B. Strickland, Formerly of Liberal, To Be Laid to Rest Tuesday.

Mrs. J. B. STRICKLAND, age 75, former liberal resident, died Sunday at the home
of her daughter, Mrs. Harry WILSON, near Hugoton, her death following by a week
to the day the funeral of her husband.

Mrs. Strickland had been bedfast following a stroke in January and had been very
low for weeks. Her son, Felix Strickland was called from Los Angeles, a month
ago by her illness and after he arrived his father was taken ill and passed away
a week ago Friday in the hospital at Dodge City.

Funeral services for Mrs. Strickland are being held at Hugoton at 2:30 Tuesday
afternoon and interment will be made there beside her husband.

Mr. and Mrs. Strickland were residents of Liberal for a number of years before
going to Hugoton to live with their daughter. Mrs. Strickland leaves the one
daughter, Mrs. Harry Wilson and one son Felix Strickland of Los Angeles, who was
in the cafe business here for several years.
