Alvin Eugene THOMPSON, the three months old son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Thompson, died at the Liberal hospital early last Friday morning. The baby had been ill for the past three weeks and was taken to the hospital Thursday night. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Kismet United Brethren Church with Rev. Bessie Koontz in charge. Burial was in the Kismet cemetery. Alvin Eugene Thompson, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Thompson was born April 4, 1929, and was called back to the God who gave him July 19, 1929, being at the time of his death only 3 months and 15 days. The little fellow had been suffering about two weeks with erysipelas, but it was hoped and thought he was getting better until he took a change for the worse Thursday evening. He was taken to the hospital and all that could be done was done for him but to no avail. He leaves to mourn his going his father, mother, two sisters, Mildred and Iva, and two brothers, Clarence and Ralph. Two infant sisters, Margaret and Blanche preceded him to the better land. Card of Thanks. We wish to take this opportunity of thanking our friends and neighbors for their kindness during the illness and death of our little son, Alvin Eugene.
