Vail, 89. W.H. VAIL, 89, a retired rancher and farmer in Plains, died here in Epworth hospital last night following a lingering, two-year illness. He had been confined to the hospital the past two weeks. Vail, born Nov. 21, 1864 in Allen county, had resided in the Plains vicinity since 1929. He was a member of the Plains Methodist church where funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Plains cemetery. Survivors besides his wife, include two grandchildren, Mrs. Marvin REECE, of Plains, and Russell SCOTT of Burlington, Colo., and five great-grandchildren. A daugher, Mrs. Tom Scott, preceded her father in death three years ago.
