WILEY died at 6:45 o'clock, on the 10th day of August, 1886. Mr. Wiley was a young man 23 years of age, born in Clark county, Ill. He was a self-made man, and by his own efforts became a graduate of Westfield college, and afterwards became quite prominent among the educational men of Kansas. He was a man of good habits, and had the faculty of making friends wherever he went. He came to Seward county last March and located upon a claim, and was promising to become one of our best citizens. He was taken sick with a low type of fever and was ill for three weeks. He bore his affliction with patience and passed away with a smile. The funeral services were held in the school house on the evening of the 11th, and were largely attended by the citizens and friends of the deceased.; who sympathize with the relatives over the loss of so promising a young man. ==== KS-FOOTSTEPS Mailing List ==== File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ks/seward/obits/w/wiley2074ob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/ksfiles/ File size: 1.5 Kb
