She was born April 26, 1916, to Steve and Bessie Mitchell northwest of Elkhart. She married Newton Charles "Bill" Wyer May 26, 1934, in Kismet. He preceded her in death She worked for more than 20 years at Epworth Hospital and continued at Southwest Medical Center. She attended South Church of God. Survivors include four sons, LaVern Wyer and wife Emily, Hooker, Okla., Francis Wyer and wife Paula, Tyrone, Okla., Terry Wyer and wife Jo, Edmond, Okla., and Jackie Wyer and wife Marie, Liberal; four daughters, Dorothy Scott and husband Charlie, Liberal, Betty Noble and husband Tommy, Beaver, Okla., Shirley Smith and husband Garold, Liberal, and Tammy Carr and husband Dennis, Liberal; 27 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Elize Mitchell, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at South Church of God with the Rev.
