Araceli "Sally" Chavira, 35, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, at Southwest Medical 
Center.

She was born July 21, 1971, to Luis and Monserrat A. (Covarrubias) Chavira in 
Juarez Chihuahua, Mexico.

She married Fermin Marquez Sept. 20, 2003, in Liberal. He survives.

She was a home visitor and Headstart teacher for the Kansas Children's Service 
League (KCSL) before she became ill. She worked for Trailmobile and Wal-Mart.

She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Liberal.

She is also survived by her parents; two sons, Luis Fermin Marquez and George 
Arthur Marquez of the home; one daughter, Vanessa Marina Marquez of the home; 
two sisters, Veronica Chavira and Luisa Chavira, Liberal; and one niece, 
Anisha Ivette Martinez, Liberal.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Juan Covarrubias.

Funeral mass will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Church with 
Father Mike McAndrew presiding.

Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Burial will be at Restlawn Cemetery in Liberal.
