LIBERAL, Kan. - Phyllis M. Childers, 72, died Friday, Dec. 16, 2005.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Central Christian Church with Spence 
Powers officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens by Miller 
Mortuary.

Mrs. Childers was born Oct. 29, 1933, in Liberal to Herman F. and Ambrosia J. 
White Dettmer. She married Douglas E. Richardson in May 1952, and she married 
Gerald Childers on Jan. 15, 1977.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Daniel Richardson of Maple Falls, Wash.; 
a daughter, Teresa Richardson of Hugoton; a stepson, Gerry Childers of Amarillo,
Texas; two stepdaughters, Hollie Childers of Amarillo and Debra Corse of 
Vancouver, Wash.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; eight 
stepgrandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Central Christian Church or Kansas Elks 
Training Center for Handicapped, and may be sent in care of the mortuary, P.O. 
Box 826, Liberal, KS 67905.
