Services will be at 3 p.m. today in First Baptist Church of Forgan with Paul Nachtigall and Wayne Moore officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery in Liberal, Kan., by Clark Funeral Service of Beaver. Mrs. Gaona was born May 19, 1918, in Beaver County to William Thomas Potter and Stella Marie Sims. She married Clifford Wakefield on Nov. 28, 1941, and later married Nick Gaona on Oct. 25, 1986. Survivors include her husband, Nick; two sons, Mike Wakefield of Forgan and Steve Wakefield of Stuart; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
