The Liberal Daily Democrat Seward County Friday December 24, 1920 Rowan--Boring. A very pretty home wedding took place Sunday, December 19th, 1920, at the home of G.C. Rowan when their son, Ople, was married to Miss Bessie BORING of Liberal, Kansas. Shortly after two o'clock they marched into the parlor to the strains of the wedding march played by the bride's sisters, Mrs. Stutzman. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Stutzman, sister of the groom. The bride wore sky satin, and the groom wore blue serge. The bride carried white and pink carnations. The bridesmaid wore silver grey satin. Rev. Wolfe of Liberal, performed the ceremony. After the ceremony all were invited to the dining room to partake of a bounteous two course dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Rowan are well known and have the best wishes of their many friends for a long and happy life. Many beautiful and useful presents were presented to the newlyweds. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Light and family of Liberal, Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Wells, Miss Emma Thompson, Rev. and Mrs. Wolfe, and children, Fountain and Rick Edwards, C.E. Stutzman and family, H.G. Downing and family, O.D. Rowan and family. Mr. and Mrs. Rowan will make their future home in Liberal.
